study with me

Choosing where to study music is a big decision, and I’m honored that you’re taking a moment to explore what we do at Bluefield University. I believe music is more than technique — it’s a craft, a calling, and a way of shaping the world with beauty, truth, and compassion. When students join our program, they enter a community where their gifts are taken seriously, their questions are welcomed, and their growth is celebrated.

Whether you’re drawn to composing, conducting, applied voice, worship leadership, collaboration, or simply deepening your understanding of music, I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you take your next steps. This is a place where you can stretch your abilities, discover new passions, and work closely with mentors who care about who you’re becoming as much as what you can do. I’m always excited to meet students discerning their path, and I hope you’ll find something here that sparks your imagination and makes you feel at home.

These visits often give students their first real sense of the community they’ll be joining.
